In the last few years, Dewi has overseen the development of the Universities 2030 Net Zero strategy as well as taken multiple large scale decarbonisation projects from feasibility through to completion. Examples of which include a 2.5MW solar array and over £7M of energy efficiency projects.

He has been working at Aberystwyth University since 2017 as their Energy and Sustainability Advisor providing expertise on a variety of energy management and environmental areas including BMS optimisation, heat decarbonisation, energy and carbon analysis and reporting, single use plastics, and waste and f-gas compliance.

He has over 15 years of experience in the sustainability industry, including roles in energy management, environmental management systems, water quality and waste management. His qualifications include a PG CERT in Energy and Sustainable Building Design, an MSc in Environmental Consultancy, and BSc in Environmental Management. He is a CIBSE certified Low Carbon Consultant and EMA recognised Energy Manager as well as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and full member of IEMA.
