As HE sector institutions start to navigate an increasingly uncertain world post-COVID Rob can help refocus university products and services based on changing customer needs. He can also help institutions consider whether their current business and operating models are efficient, agile and sustainable, deliver value to customers and embrace modern digital services.
Rob has over 25 years’ experience of analysing, designing and delivering change solutions into organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He started this journey building information systems and progressed into business analysis and onto enterprise and business architecture. He has also designed and delivered strategy, analysis and architecture as ‘blackbox’ services to organisations to bolster and build internal capability where required in support of transformative change.
How has Rob recently supported universities?
- Rob helped deliver capability maturity assessments for 6 universities as part of a UCISA-initiated project to introduce the Business Technology Standard into the HE sector
- Rob worked with the University of Bath to define future IT and digital architectures, a target operating model for their IT / digital organisation and a transformation roadmap to achieve both – this supported a wider initiative to reconsider the university’s operating model coming out of COVID
- Rob re-designed the teaching and learning eco-system for the University of Exeter to enhance the student and academic experiences post-COVID as part of transformation change programme.
Rob is otherwise active in his community having co-founded a food bank, a transport action group and a repair café. He is currently helping to define a Neighbourhood Plan for Weymouth in Dorset. He also runs, cycles, grows food and enjoys music for sanity.
