Martina joined SUMS in 2026. She brings a collaborative, pragmatic approach to complex change programmes, helping institutions modernise services, improve processes and align people, technology and delivery around sustainable outcomes.

Martina supports universities in delivering complex transformation and change initiatives across research, digital and operational services. She brings expertise in programme delivery, governance, stakeholder engagement, service-led transformation and ways of working across academic, professional services and technical teams. She is particularly interested in helping institutions explore practical applications of AI, automation and digital tools to improve processes, reduce operational complexity and enhance staff and student experience in collaborative and sustainable ways.

Martina has worked across Higher Education (University of Cambridge, King’s College, University of East London), media (News UK, Reach plc), data (Times Higher Education) and standards (BSI) organisations, leading digital transformation and service improvement initiatives. Most recently, she was Interim Programme Delivery Lead at the University of Cambridge, responsible for delivery across the Research Systems Portfolio and the Transforming Research Systems programme. Her experience includes programme and portfolio delivery, organisational change, governance, operating model development and cross-functional leadership within complex and decentralised environments.

  • University of Cambridge – Delivery leadership for the Transforming Research Systems (TRS) programme at University of Cambridge, modernising research administration, digital platforms and operating models across the University research ecosystem
  • Times Higher Education – Delivery of digital products, governance and platform transformation at Times Higher Education, including the launch of a major student platform supporting over 15 million annual users
  • University of East London – Delivery of Initiation phase and supplier identification for University website transformation programme at University of East London
  • King’s College – Planning and mobilisation of digital transformation initiatives at King’s College London, including hosting migration, enterprise search and distance learning platforms.

Outside of work, Martina enjoys music, including singing and playing the trumpet, as well as playing Bridge and entertaining friends. She enjoys travel, gardening and exploring coasts and countrysides and is actively involved in her local community association supporting initiatives to help improve the local area.
