Lynn has led large, primarily student facing, teams throughout her career, latterly as Deputy Registrar at the University of Bristol with responsibility for approximately 600 staff across the divisions of Academic Registry, Student Services, Libraries, Residences, and Sport. More recently, Lynn has acted as University Secretary in universities in Leicester and London, with responsibility for governance, legal services and compliance. She has also held non-executive roles, as Vice-Chair of a multi-academy trust, director of a destination management organisation, and currently as Chair of Governors for two primary schools in Bristol.

A champion of an outstanding university experience for all students, Lynn has worked collaboratively and productively with student representatives throughout her career. She has also led major organisational change, including multi-million-pound student facilities and student IT system change projects. Lynn has transformed student support functions in central teams, academic schools and residences and successfully engendered a high performance and customer-focused ethos in all her teams.

Lynn became a consultant and interim manager in 2020 and has provided services for new and old universities in relation to governance effectiveness, organisational improvement, and academic regulations and compliance in all four countries in the UK.

Lynn has always prided herself on building excellent working relationships with colleagues, students, external partners, and now clients, and uses those strengths to understand what a client really needs from an assignment, to engage with all stakeholders positively throughout the work, and to ensure that the assignment is managed in such a way that any change can be implemented smoothly and effectively.
