Laura can support SUMS Consulting members and clients through leadership development alongside support to embed behavioural and attitudinal changes in strategic delivery teams.
Her expertise in analysing organisational culture, coupled with her skills in group consultation and facilitation, enables her to co-produce meaningful cultural changes. As an advocate of an action research approach, Laura uses her expertise in inclusive practice/co-production to create organisational buy-in and fresh thinking.
Laura is an accredited ILM Action Learning Set Facilitator; skilled in creating individual and group capacity for using reflection, discussion and action to solve problems and challenges. With an MA (Distinction) in Leading and Consulting in Organisations (system psychodynamic perspectives), Laura has expertise in working with complex group dynamics around sensitive subjects.
Laura has a particular interest in the development of fresh approaches to inclusive, collaborative and co-produced ways of working as drivers of organisational and societal change.
At UCL, her leadership helped to co-create the Co-Production Collective, in collaboration with a diverse set of communities and stakeholders. Now gaining national recognition, the Co-Production Collective is championing co-production in research, policy development and service delivery.
At ShapeArts, Laura’s work sought to improve access to, and participation in, culture for disabled people. Within the Civil Service European Faststream, Laura worked across regional development, employment and education portfolios and implementation at scale.
Outside work, Laura is a keen artist and woodcut printmaker and takes every opportunity she can find to paint and draw as close to nature as she can get.
