Graham is an IT consultant with over 30 year’s experience and an in-depth insight into the UK Higher Education sector. He has led IT functions and developed great teams in both the public and private sector.
As a professional leader, Graham is capable of creating, communicating and delivering strategy, deal with operational challenges and resolve complex problems. In the last four years he has undertaken a number of interim assignments as Director/Head of IT.
Graham has developed and managed a transformation of corporate IT services as part of a major modernisation and investment programme. Moreover, he has led the introduction of project management frameworks within a large and complex organisation, to manage increased levels of risk.
As a University IT Director, he has implemented successful re-organisation and merger of IT teams, introduced account management, attracted significant levels of new investment in technology and delivered innovative and successful student, academic and administrative services.
Graham is passionate about continually improving customer experience. He is very proud to have been part of the team which significantly increased student satisfaction; from national average (84%) to upper quartile (90%) as measured by the annual National Student Survey (NSS). His team also consistently measured monthly customer satisfaction at 99% (satisfied or very satisfied).
Graham can demonstrate key skills in the delivery of change management programmes; multi-million pound operational and capital investment budgets; building highly effective organisational relationships; delivery of high-quality services; and working with diverse groups demonstrating personal flexibility and resilience.
Graham´s qualifications include a master’s degree in business administration (University of Bradford MBA) and an Engineering degree (University of Bristol BSc Hons). On top of this, he is a certified PRINCE practitioner, ITIL practitioner and GDPR qualified.
