Emily possesses extensive expertise in Ofsted (EIF) inspection readiness, ensuring institutions are thoroughly prepared for evaluations. She excels in supporting Ofqual recognition applications, guiding organisations through the complex process. Emily’s skills in designing, delivering, and assuring apprenticeship provisions are invaluable, whether establishing new programs or refining existing offerings. Her proficiency extends to curriculum development and support for work-based learning, including apprenticeships, ensuring robust and relevant educational experiences.
Emily is adept at handling APAR applications for apprenticeships and end-point assessment delivery, as well as developing and testing assessment and support materials for both integrated and non-integrated end-point assessments. She provides comprehensive standardisation and training for independent end-point assessors, ensuring consistency and quality. Emily’s expertise in levy and levy transfer utilisation planning helps organisations optimise their funding strategies. Additionally, she offers governance and committee oversight for apprenticeship and ESFA-funded provisions, ensuring compliance and effective management. With this breadth of knowledge, she is well-equipped to support members and clients in achieving their strategic goals and enhancing their educational offerings.
Emily has over two decades of experience within the education, skills and assessment sector gain through work with universities, colleges, training providers, awarding bodies and end-point assessment organisations. She holds Chartered Fellow designation from the Chartered Management Institute and has a Masters’ Degree in Curriculum Development alongside her degree and PGCE qualifications.
Emily started her teaching career within the arts sector and has worked in a range of roles including degree Programme Leader for Guildford School of Acting, Director of Student Opportunities and Destinations and then Assistant Principal (Business Development) at John Leggott College, and Partnership Development Manager (Head of Apprenticeships) at Bishop Grosseteste University; alongside a range of other roles within further and higher education together with external quality assurance for a range of awarding organisations. She also works across the end-point assessment sector and has undertaken more than 450 end-point assessments across different EPAOs, levels and standards.
Emily likes to explore creative and innovative approaches to education and training to ensure the best outcomes for students, providers and employers alike. She regularly supports the delivery of face-to-face and online CPD sessions focused on Apprenticeship development and delivery and end-point assessment.
