Christine can support senior managers and Boards in reviewing governance and compliance and developing structures and frameworks to improve ways of working and ensure legislative and regulatory compliance; this includes creating decision-making documents such as schemes of delegation, and reviewing constitutional documents to take changes through to the Privy Council.
She has experience of helping Boards improve their relationships with their university and better understand their roles within the HE and charity sectors. She can support resource planning and developing structures for professional services, and review and implement new operating models for greater efficiency.
Christine worked at HEFCE for 7 years including 4 as Senior Policy Advisor on Widening Participation. She was Science Faculty Manager at University of Bristol for 13 years, directing strategy development with the Dean and leading operational delivery. Christine was also University Secretary at Cardiff Met University, leading and managing the university as part of the executive team as well as supporting the Board and ensuring good governance.
Her non-HE experience includes merging two councils in Somerset to establish a new local authority, while also introducing a new operating model for the organisation.
