Andrew is eager to help organisations engage with their stakeholders—whether that is to select a technology solution through a procurement process; to identify priorities during strategy building or to re-imagine an organisation and its processes to increase its effectiveness. He has helped develop and deliver multiple iterations of IT Strategy; worked with customers and stakeholders both through procurement processes and through crises when suppliers have not met contractual obligations. He has engaged with his own teams to identify and overcome issues of productivity and prioritisation. Particularly balancing customer facing and technical work required for a health software portfolio.

Andrew was the Head of Corporate Information Systems at Lancaster University. Leading a team of developers, business analysts and project managers over a period of 17 years. Throughout that time he lead numerous transformational projects including replacing the HR system, implementing a university wide web content management system and IT helpdesk system. He also founded and chaired the UCISA Sustainability group. Previously Andrew worked for 11 years at Microsoft at their Redmond Washington campus as part of a product development team; he worked with customers on all aspects of the product from definition, through to testing.
