- Cranfield University –overhaul of pre-award research support processes and practices including implementation of a new management system.
- Cranfield University – Successfully led service restructuring, delivering 30% non-staff budget cut and staffing (FTE) reduction (2024 – 2025). Delivered facility closure and realignment of resources around priority areas, maintaining key talent and sustaining core service delivery
- Journal of Research Management and Administration (JoRMA) – founding member of the Editorial Board.
- Royal Holloway – professionalizing the research and innovation support delivered through restructuring, recruitment and team development.
Outside of work, Alicen can usually be found with friends and family. She is generally chasing round after her two daughters and finding fun things to do in the great outdoors, ideally on a beach in the west country!
