The remit of Change Teams during the Covid-19 crisis fits into two camps – teams that have been active during this time and those that have been passive. However, Change Teams all need to be at the forefront of refocusing their institutions as we move beyond crisis to a ‘new normal’. This is an interesting challenge for Change Managers, especially in a sector with such varying levels of change management maturity – and where difficult decisions are currently being made about resources as institutions start to make efficiencies across all areas in response to Brexit, Covid-19, and other challenges being faced by the sector at this time.

Titled 'An Analysis of Change Maturity in the Higher Education Sector', the session will invite delegates to analyse the level of change maturity within their University. Moreover, delegates will consider the actions required to raise their maturity as they seek to re-brand and/or raise the profile of change management in order to ensure the success of their institutions beyond Covid-19.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session delegates will:

  1. Understand areas of weakness and strength in their approach to Change Management
  2. Have considered actions required to improve their level of maturity across a number of change dimensions and at each phase of their Change Programme
